King And Queen Cantina

I've visited King and Queen Cantina Talpe a few times now with both friends and family, and it’s quickly become one of my favourite spots on the south coast. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. The seafood platter is absolutely the best I’ve had in the area. Fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented every single time. The prices are reasonable considering the generous portions. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for great seafood and friendly service.

We were a group of 6 girls and had an amazing day out! The place felt very safe, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. The calm, natural environment was so relaxing. It was a bit crowded since we went on a weekend, so I’d suggest visiting on a weekday if you prefer a quieter vibe. The food was delicious — we got a welcome drink, lunch buffet, ice cream and wattalappan for dessert. The package also included a kayak boat ride and pool access, all for just Rs. 2950. Totally worth it! Overall, we had a really fun and memorable experience. Highly recommend!

Highly recommended for a day out, we had a birthday celebration here, everything was well organized, the food and drinks were good, the staff was friendly and always greeted with a smile. My favorite thing was the kayaking here, it was my best experience. We love this place! We go every time we can. Definitely recommend

King and Queen Cantina – Peaceful Vibes, But Not So Worthy Plates We visited this place after hearing some good things, but to be honest, the experience was a mix of good and bad. First things first — it’s located a bit far from the main road, and the road to get there is pretty uncomfortable. So if you’re on a bike or small vehicle, get ready for a bumpy ride. Once we arrived though, the place was super calm and peaceful. No crowd at all, just us and nature. So if you’re looking for a quiet, eco-friendly dining spot — this is definitely a win. We ordered a seafood fried rice and a chicken fried rice. The taste was decent, but here’s the truth: The amount of seafood and chicken was very low — not what we expected for the price. We also got a chicken devilled, which was honestly disappointing — it was mostly bones with barely any meat. And worst of all... no chilli paste with the fried rice! Like seriously, who eats fried rice without chilli paste?! Portion sizes were on the smaller side, and for what we paid, it didn’t feel like value for money. What’s good: Calm, peaceful environment Food tasted fine (just mild in spice) What’s not: Poor road access Small portions Lacked spice Barely any meat in the chicken devilled No chilli paste! So if you're looking for a relaxing, quiet spot with OK food and don't mind spending a bit more, this might work. But if you're hungry, spicy-food-loving, and looking for value for money — this isn’t the place.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A hidden gem in Talpe! King and Queen Cantina offers a very calm and peaceful environment, perfectly tucked away from the busy town. Prices are quite reasonable compared to other nearby places, and the portions of food are generous with great taste. The service is friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. One of the highlights is the pool access — they even have day packages if you just want to relax and enjoy the facilities. Overall, it’s an excellent spot for good food, relaxation, and value for money. Highly recommended!

Went here for lunch with a group of over 20 friends. There was plenty of seating available and a nice outdoor garden area as well. We ordered the Seafood Shovel Rice and Fried Rice, the food was really good, nothing to complain about. The place also has a beautiful, clean pool that perfectly complements the relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommend this spot for a laid-back lunch or even a few drinks with friends. Great food, space, and vibes overall!

Had an amazing experience at King and Queen Cantina in Thalpe! The service was excellent from start to finish, and the food was absolutely delicious. Loved the added perks pool access and a relaxing kayak boat ride that made the day even more memorable. Grateful for the warm hospitality and great service throughout.
